“Some studies have shown that for every death by suicide, 200 people have attempted suicide and 400 [other] people have thought about it.”
Chester Bennington lost his long and public battle to the killer that is mental illness. His bandmates and friends who know him best were shocked, heartbroken, and dismayed over the tragedy. As were all of us fans of the band, Linkin Park, devastated.
Any one that knows their music and sound knows the emotional voyage you take with each song, but when Chester starts to whale out the verse and hit those high notes… chills!
Remembering Chester Bennington | Heartbreaking Letter | Heartbreaking Letter
Everyone who collaborated or wrote or sang and listened to Chester Bennington sing know he had demons, he sang about them often. The very “demons that ultimately led to his suicide.” – Dear Chester
It was not that this is a shock and there were no signs, the man was a walking bull-horn. It’s that the man seemed to have it coming together, then Chris Cornell’s suicide in May 2017. Was Chester’s decision to suicide fueled by his grief?
Is art reverberating into real life-
Linkin Park Lyrics “In The End”
[Chester Bennington:]
I tried so hard – And got so far
But in the end – It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall – To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
